If you’re wondering how to lose weight in a week, this first tip is great.  It takes 3,500 calories to be burned to lose a pound of fat.  This means that you’ll have your work cut out.  The best way to do this is to create a caloric deficit in the amount of calories you’re taking in.

 

There are only 2 ways where you can create a deficit.  You can burn the calories by doing cardio and you can reduce your food intake.  If you run on a treadmill for 5 mph for at least an hour you’ll burn around 200 calories.  However, that is a long time to be running.  Instead, you could try a boxing workout where you punch a bag or act like you are.

 

A boxing routine is great because in 20 minutes you have the ability to lose the same amount of calories as you would if you were to run on a treadmill for an hour.

 

Your goal is to burn 500 calories or more per day and that will help you lose 1 pound of fat right there.

 

Weight Loss Tip #2-

 

The next tip for people wondering how to lose weight in a week is to cut out your calories.  Look for a free “bmi calculator” on the internet and you’ll be able to quickly see what you need to lose weight.  You’ll input your weight, height, and activity level into the calculator.  The calculator will then calculate just how many calories you need to lose weight.

 

This will give you a good start.  What you need to do is try to cut out 500 to 1,000 calories per day from your current diet.  This will give you a total of 1,000 to 1,500 calories per day that you no longer have to worry about.

 

As you can see, you can quickly lose more than a couple of pounds of fat per week.

 

Weight Loss Tip #3-

 

The last tip is to make sure you drink water instead of unhealthy soda pop or energy drinks.  Water is a great source for losing weight because it doesn’t contain any calories.  So you could technically drink it all day long (not recommended) and you’d never gain any weight from the calories because there aren’t any.

 

Now that you know how to lose weight in a week it’s time to go out and take action.  Before you know it, the pounds will start to slide off!
